What to Do...
Community Activities
All of these can be streamed later as well, but if you want to do them "together," here is the schedule:

Mo Willems's lunch doodle, offered through the Kennedy Center. On the first day, he showed some of the original art from Don't Let the Pigeon Drive the Bus. *swoon* |
| 7:30 | pm | Josh Gad (Olaf!) reads a picture book on his twitter. With the voices, natch. |
| 7:30 | pm | The Metropolitan Opera will livestream a show from their archives (you may access it for up to 20 hours.) |
Arts & Miscellany
- The ultimate guide to museums online.
- The best of TedED.
- No guilty pleasure: totally saving this link of Broadway musicals you can catch streaming here.
Books & Reading
- Annabelle & Aiden eBooks are free this week (beginning March 16)
- Kate Messner is creating a list of publisher and author approved read-alouds. There are major copyright restrictions on reading aloud online (although School Library Journal is making a great case otherwise), but to be safe, stick to this list and similar, author-sponsored goodies.
- Authors Everywhere! YouTube channel.
- Josh Gad is reading a book every day on his twitter.
- Ivy League courses available for free.
Computer Science Activities
- Hour of Code. My favorite starter one for just understanding concepts is this minecraft one. It's what I sent my 9 as a first piece... he did it for the first time when he was about five, so hopefully he doesn't remember that, LOL. Some of the others feel more like PLAYING a game rather than constructing code, so I save those for later.
- Scratch! It can be overwhelming, but it's really a sandbox. Just play with it.
