Visualizing this hot mess
While it's a long video, I really like this Ross Kauffman's explanation of the virus's impact on a town in Ohio (Bluffton, population under 5,000). For where I live, multiply his numbers by four.

Also, why are there no good stick man charts of this yet? I love me some stick man charts. So I made them. I haven't added sources, but I used the same data Kauffman used.

And that's over the course of the disease. In China, only 40% presented with a fever when they first were hospitalized. About 88% had it by the end. In the US, 40% have not had a fever.

Here's hoping I don't actually have it. Or if I DO that this has been its worst and that I'm granted immunity for a time after, but they don't even know that yet.
